MITSUBISHI PERFORMANCE

About Us

Welcome to Revolutions Performance. If you own a Mitsubishi vehicle you have come to the right place. We have extensive knowledge of the Mitsubishi platform from Eclipse’s to 3000GT’s to Evolutions. Our yellow Evo 8 was one of the first evo’s to run 11’s in Colorado. We tuned and helped the team at Rally Ready Motorsports with their 2010 Pikes Peak Open Class Evo. That car won the open class for 3 years in a row. Teams such as Rhys Millen Racing, Lisa Klassen, and others choose us to help get them ready for Pikes Peak. We are dealers for such companies as AMS Performance, COBB Tuning, FP Turbochargers, Kelford, MAPerformance, and many more. Our tuner has experience tuning these vehicles with multiple engine management systems including the factory ECU. We are also factory trained by AEM to tune their engine management systems.

Dyno

We have chosen a Dyno Dynamics AWD 450 chassis dyno for all of your tuning needs. This machine is one of the most accurate and advanced dynamometers on the market.

Dyno Dynamics VS other dynos

Our Dyno Dynamics Dyno is affectionately known as “the heartbreaker” By this we mean that your horsepower number will probably read lower than other dynos. That being said, our number has proven to be accurate based on vehicle weight and quarter mile track speeds. Other local dynos may give you a high number to make you feel good, but wouldn’t you rather have a real number? Wouldn’t you feel better to beat their “700hp” car with your “500hp” car? In the end though a dyno is simply a tuning tool. If you do all of your testing at our facility you will be able to see the gains from each part you add. It’s impossible to compare numbers between dynos because of so many variables. Think of a dyno like a torque wrench- you want to be able to measure the amount of torque applied- consistently and accurately.

Advantages Over Common Inertia Dynos

An inertia dyno cannot apply load unless the vehicle is accelerating. This makes it impossible to test a car on a level road at steady speed on flat roads or up hill, or slowing down due to hills etc. In addition, an inertia dyno makes it impossible to properly tune a vehicle at anything other than maximum acceleration! A Dyno Dynamics dynamometer can easily test a car at any speed and at any load simulating any condition of speed, incline or decline! For example, the dyno can hold a vehicle at say 50% throttle and 3,500 RPM while optimizing the air to fuel ratio or timing. This is how you achieve a properly tuned vehicle for driveability as well as maximum performance at full throttle!

Got BIG Power?

Revolutions Performance has equipped this dyno with TWIN Eddy Current Retarders on the rear bed of the dyno. That means we can support vehicles with up to 2,800 HP to the rear wheels! So, if other shops have turned you away because of limitations on how much horsepower they can handle, come on over to Revolutions Performance.

Using this extremely controlled environment, the following information can be collected from each dyno session:

  • Horsepower
  • Torque
  • Tractive Effort Intake Air Temperature
  • Manifold Pressure/Boost
  • Air to Fuel Ratio (AFR)

Tuning checklist

Before bringing your vehicle in for a dyno tune we need to make sure your vehicle is ready to tune. Click the link below for our tuning checklist. You MUST have this tuning checklist completed prior to your dyno tuning appointment. Failure to complete this checklist will result in forfeiture of your dyno tuning deposit. If you are not able to complete this checklist yourself you may have us do it for you for a nominal fee.
